Thankfully, I got out of class early today and will have a little extra time to pack for my trip to the Students for Free Culture Conference. I’ll be catching a flight at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow and heading to New York city. Rather than describing the event in my own words, here’s what the conference website has to say, “The annual Students for Free Culture conference brings student leaders into conversation with each other as well as creators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, scholars, and educators contributing to a more free, open, and participatory culture.” For me, this will be a chance to discuss issues of intellectual property rights, open education, social media privacy concerns, as well as information technology and innovation policy.
